Linda was raised in Ridgecrest California on a Navy base in the middle of the Mojave Desert, where she says “I got the best education the Government’s money could buy!” As a young woman, Linda developed a deep love and respect for education and took those values forward into her young adult life and subsequent career as a Realtor.
On New Year’s Day in 1970, Linda and her young family re-located to Santa Barbara and bought their first home. Four years later she obtained her real estate license. Since then, she has helped hundreds of happy clients obtain financing and find homes in which they could raise their families.
The guiding force of Linda’s career has been to serve buyers and sellers, not just on a single transaction but for life, and to help them answer the call of their dreams. Through dedication to her mission, Linda shepherds her clients to make positive, informed decisions about their real estate goals. As a result of her perseverance, she has become one of the top listing and selling agents in the Santa Barbara area.
Linda and her husband Jeff, also an agent with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, have made Santa Barbara their home for more than 30 years and are very active in their community. They believe strongly in investing in their community and they support a number of local charities and area schools.
For TEAM Havlik, real estate has never been simply about buying and selling homes; their goal is to uncover the needs of their clients, serve them according to those needs, and make the home buying and selling process as efficient, stress-free and successful as possible.
HOME is, after all, the center of our lives!
Jeff spent his first ten years growing up in Redding California where he developed his “country” style. In the mid-1960s he moved from Redding to Isla Vista (Santa Barbara), which certainly led him in other directions. Jeff graduated with a business degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (Finance and Real Estate) in 1981 and went to work as a real estate broker with Merrill Lynch Realty in 1982. Between college and career he worked as a federally licensed 100 ton skipper offshore of California, as a ski patrolman in Israel and as a bare boat captain in the Greek isles.
After joining Merrill Lynch Realty, Jeff spent ten years listing and selling residential and commercial property in the Santa Barbara area. In 1992 he went to work for the County of Santa Barbara and spent the next 21 years working as a “Right of Way” Agent buying, selling and leasing property for the County. Jeff retired from Santa Barbara County in July of 2014 and is now back to his first love, real estate, and is teaming with his lovely wife Linda at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties.
